The Heart Behind the Camera

Hi , I'm Porscha, the photographer behind Vi Vision Photography.

First things first: what does “Vi” mean? Vi is short for Violet, a name I adopted as a camp counselor for Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. When it came time to name my photography business, it felt right to carry a piece of my own story into the name.

My love for photography started long before Vi Vision. I've wanted to be a photographer since I was 15 years old, when my mother put me in charge of photographing and recording events at our church. I loved being behind the camera and capturing the moments happening around me.

Like a lot of people, I grew up believing a traditional career was the practical path and art was something you loved on the side. I built a career in another industry, but photography was something I always came back to. Now, I'm finally giving that 15-year-old version of myself a chance to see where this passion can go.

I love photography that feels personal. Your story doesn't need a studio, a white backdrop, or the perfect pose. It might be best told in your home, at your business, outside at a favorite spot, or somewhere neither of us has thought of yet.
