The Heart Behind the Camera
Hi, I'm Porscha, the photographer behind Vi Vision Photography.
First things first: what does “Vi” mean?
Vi is short for Violet, a name I adopted as a camp counselor for Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. When it came time to name my photography business, it felt right to carry a piece of my own story into the name.
While Vi Vision Photography may be new, my love for photography definitely isn't.
I've wanted to be a photographer since I was about 15 years old. Growing up, my mother would put me in charge of photographing and recording events at our church, and that's really where it started for me. I loved being behind the camera and capturing the moments happening around me.
But like a lot of people, I grew up believing that a traditional career was the practical path and art was something you loved on the side. So I built a career in another industry while photography remained something I always came back to.
Now, I'm finally giving that 15-year-old version of myself a chance to see where this passion can go.
What I'm discovering is that I love photography that feels personal. I don't believe every beautiful photograph needs a studio, a white backdrop, or the perfect pose. Your story might be best told in your home, outside at a favorite spot, at your business, or somewhere neither of us has thought of yet.
Bring me your ideas. Let's get creative. I want us to work together to create photographs that actually feel like you.
As someone who loves serving my community, I've had the privilege of working with families, local businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. No matter the session, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel true to you and reflect your story.
When you work with Vi Vision Photography, you're not just booking a photographer. You're working with someone who wants to understand your vision, make you feel comfortable, and create something meaningful together.
Your story. Beautifully captured.
